The Stonehouse – Chimanimani

The Stonehouse is nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Chimanimani, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. Whether you are seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventurous getaway, our property caters to all type of travelers.
During your stay, we encourage you to explore the natural wonders of Chimanimani. From hiking trails to waterfalls, there is no shortage of outdoor activities to indulge in. If you prefer a more laid-back experience, you can simply unwind with a book on the verandah or taking a leisurely stroll through the nearby forests.

House rules

We have a few rules which I’d like to let you know about. I know rules are boring, but we’d really appreciate if you could have a quick read.
#1 - Check Out is 10am
• Our cleaner will arrive shortly after 10am to clean the property. We can’t stop her, she is a cleaning machine.
#2 - Lights & Water
• We would really appreciate if you could turn off all lights and bathroom taps when you leave the house each day, and on check out.
#3 - Noise
• Please be respectful of the property and other guests. No noise between 11pm and 6am.
#4 – No Smoking
• Please do not smoke inside the house. The garden is lovely. Please don’t throw buds on the lawn. Ask for an ashtray.
#5 – Damage
• If you damage something, please let us know so we can arrange for its replacement or repair.
#6 – Eating in Rooms
• Please do not eat in the rooms. Use the designated areas in the dining hall or garden to eat your meals.
#7 – ENJOY YOURSELF AND THE CHIMANIMANI MOUNTAINS!

The Stonehouse have experienced guides and porters available to assist our guests with hikes and tours in Chimanimani. Our knowledgeable guides are familiar with the local area and can provide valuable insights and information during your outdoor adventures. Our porters are also available to assist with carrying any necessary equipment or supplies during your hikes, allowing you to fully enjoy the journey without the burden of heavy loads. If you would like to arrange for a guide or porter service, please inform our staff. We will be more than happy to assist you in organizing your desired hiking or tour experience.
